The blend of art being representative and emotional has always been my goal. For example if I paint a crocodile, and you've never seen one in real life, with the painting you will understand what it is like to be in the presence of a crocodile. Now the painting might not be photo-realistic, but you get the feeling of what it is like to deal with a crocodile. For the crocodile the painting would show the quiet power and prehistoric design. Another example would be if I did a landscape, the painting would give you a feeling of what it is actually like to be living in that scene, how everyday life might be like.
I do not believe that art is constant, it is always changing, sometimes for the good and sometimes for the bad, but the only truth to art is that is changes. I have and am constantly studying the techniques of the masters like Michelangelo to the art of different cultures such as the ancient Egyptians, you can learn from everyone and anyone. You can join me on my explorations of art by clicking the "Behind the Painting" link.
Art
is my life and love. The
common theme with my art is that I often paint with bold colors and a distinctive
style. "Everyone
can appreciate
art.
It has an energy of its own -- a kind of sensual romance about it."
